HP LaserJet 4000, 4050, 5000, 8000, and 8100 Series Printers - 79.00FE Error When Printing Tints from Adobe® InDesign

ISSUE: When printing a "tint sample" from Adobe® InDesign, the printer displays a "79.00FE PRINTER ERROR ."
SOLUTION: It may be possible to print a tint sample using one of the two options listed below.
WORKAROUND: Option #1: Create a New Gradient Sample from the tint sample in InDesign and use the new gradient in place of the tint:
  1. Select the tint sample in the Swatches palette.

  2. Choose New Gradient Swatch from the Swatches palette menu.

  3. Click the left Gradient Stop on the Gradient ramp.

  4. Choose Named Color from the Stop Color menu.

  5. Select the tint sample from the list.

  6. Click the right Gradient Stop on the Gradient ramp.

  7. Choose Named Color from the Stop Color menu.

  8. Select the tint sample from the list.

  9. Click OK and apply the new gradient to items in place of the tint.

Option #2 : Export the file as PDF file, and then print the PDF file.

SUMMARY: The 79.00FE Error occurs when a tint is placed in an InDesign document and printed. Option #1 will replace the tint with a gradient while Option #2 will convert the document to a pdf file.
