HP LaserJet 3015, 3020, 3030 and 3380 AiO Products - Unable to Install the Product Software

ISSUE: When installing the product software, the initial HP LaserJet Installation splash screen appears then disappears immediately. Running the setup program from the CD has the same effect - the splash screen appears then immediately disappears. The result is the inability to install the software.
SOLUTION: Virus scan programs can cause the installation to fail. Disable virus scan and firewall software while running the installation program. Make sure all other programs are closed during the installation as well.
NOTE: While there may be other causes for this issue, disabling virus and firewall software during installation has been a highly effective solution in many cases.
