HP Officejet 5600 Series All-in-One - Printing Overview
The HP All-in-One can be used with any software application that allows printing.
NOTE: This document contains basic information about printing from the HP All-in-One to print using a software application. For additional information, such as printing a poster, printing multiple pages on a single sheet, and more, see the onscreen HP Image Zone Help.
This document applies to the following products:
Print from a software application
Most print settings are automatically configured by the software application you are printing from or by HP ColorSmart technology. You need to change the settings manually only when you change print quality, print on specific types of paper or transparency film, or use special features.
Change the print settings
Before you change print settings, you should decide if you want to change the settings for the current print job only, or if you want to make the settings the defaults for all future print jobs. How you display print settings depends on whether or not you want to apply the change to all future print jobs or just to the current print job.

Stop a print job
Although you can cancel a print job from either the HP All-in-One or the computer, HP recommends you cancel it from the HP All-in-One for best results.
NOTE: Although most software applications designed for Windows use the Windows print spooler, the software application might not use the spooler. If you cannot cancel the print job by using one of the following procedures, see the instructions for canceling background printing in the online help of the software application.
