HP LaserJet MFP Series - How to Specify a Network Destination on the MFP Control Panel for Scan to Folder (LDAP Authentication)

When LDAP authentication is enabled, a network destination can be specified on the Multi-Functional Printer (MFP) Control Panel when performing a scan to the network folder. This allows the user to send a scanned document or documents to a network folder share, if the desired destination is not in the list of predefined folders.

For the products in the following list, complete the steps that follow the product list:

  • HP LaserJet 4345mfp

  • HP LaserJet 9040/50mfp

  • HP Color LaserJet 4730 MFP

  • HP Color LaserJet 9500mfp

  • HP Color LaserJet CM4730 MFP

  • HP 9200c Digital Sender

  1. Press the Other button.

  2. Specify a network destination. Then press Enter. The network destination is circled in red. Then press Start to send.

For the products in the following list, complete the steps that follow the product list:

  • HP LaserJet M4345 MFP

  • HP LaserJet M3035 MFP

  • HP LaserJet M5035 MFP

  • HP9250c Digital Sender

  1. Select the Folder path, and specify the network destination for scanning the documents.

  2. The Network Folder Path is circled in red.

Details

The ability to specify a network folder path is available when configuring the embedded Send to Network Folder, or in the HP MFP Digital Sending Software 4.x Send to Folder, if LDAP authentication is enabled.

NOTE: It is possible to specify a $ share on the control panel . $ shares represent hidden Network Shares.
