HP iPAQ 100 Classic Handheld Series - Increasing Storage Memory When Critically Low

Introduction

If the HP iPAQ 100 Classic Handheld series device is critically low in memory, create free space by deleting or moving data, video and music files stored in the memory area and also by deleting temporary Internet files.

Method one: Creating memory space by deleting files

Follow these steps to delete files.

  1. On the Today screen, tap Start > Programs.

  2. Tap File explorer and select a folder.

  3. Select the file to be deleted.

  4. Tap Menu > Delete. The file is deleted.

  5. Follow steps 2 through 4 to delete other files.

Method two: Creating memory space by moving files

Files can be moved to a memory card to free up iPAQ memory. Follow the steps to move files.

  1. On the Today screen, tap Start > Programs.

  2. Tap File explorer and select a folder.

  3. Select the file to be moved.

  4. Tap Menu > Edit > Cut.

  5. Select desired location, such as the memory card, to move the file.

  6. Tap Menu, > Edit > Paste. The file moves to the new location.

  7. Follow steps 2 through 6 to move more files and free up critical memory space in the iPAQ.

Method three: Creating memory space by deleting temporary Internet files

Follow these steps to delete temporary Internet files:

  1. On the Today screen, tap Start > Internet Explorer.

  2. Tap Menu > Tools > Options.

  3. On the Memory tab, tap the Clear History and Delete Files buttons.
