HP ScanJet Scanners - How to Change the Default Destination Folder to Save Scanned Document

This Document provides information on selecting desired destination and how change the default destination folder to save the scanned document or pictures for the following software:

1. HP Solution Center.

2. HP PaperPort software.

3. HP Photosmart Permier.

4. HP Scanner Tools utility.

5. HP Document viewer.

6. Presto!PageManager 7 Deluxe.

Details

HP Solution Center:

HP Solution Center uses more control during the scanning process such as when you want to preview the image before the final scan, use more advanced features, or change to a desired location. To change the default destination to the desired one, please follow the below steps:

1. Please click on the HP Solution Center icon.

2. Click on Settings.

3. Button Settings.

4. Click on Scan document.

5. Please select "Save to file" in "Scan to"

6. Please select the file type as PDF.

7. Click on “Save to file save options”

8. You can see the option called “Save location”

9. Click on Browse and select the location where you want to save.

10. Click on Ok and scan it to a desired location.

HP Paperport software:

The PaperPort software is the bundled along with the HP Scanner software. In order to change the default destination to the desired one, please follow the below steps:

1. Launch the paper port software.

2. You can see the options called “Tools” (Menu bar), click on Tools.

3. Click on Folder Manager.

4. Please click on Add and select the location where you want to save.

5. And then click on OK.

HP Photosmart permier software:

The HP Photosmart software is the program used for manipulating, printing, archiving and sharing your images after they have been scanned. To change the default destination to the desired one, please follow the below steps:

1. Launch the HP Photosmart Premier Software.

2. Click on Get Images and then select “From Scanner”.

3. Select the scanner model and then click on Select.

4. Click on Scan document.

5. Please select "Save to file" in "Scan to"

6. Please select the file type as PDF.

7. Click on “Save to file save options”

8. You can see the option called “Save location”

9. Click on Browse and select the location where you want to save.

10. Click on Ok and Scan the document to a desired location.

HP Scanners Tools utility:

In HP Scanner tools utility you have the option called PDF setting and you can check the usage, maintenance history and other settings. You can record scanner maintenance and change the setting. Follow the below steps to change the default destination to the desired one:

1. Launch the HP Scanner Tools Utility.

2. Click on PDF Settings.

3. You can see the option called “Destination Folder”.

4. Click on Browse and select the location.

5. Click on Apply and OK.

HP Document Viewer:

HP Document Viewer, a program that allows you to easily organize your scanned documents (JPEG and TIFF), annotate them with text and graphics, print them, convert them to text, and e-mail or fax them. To change the default destination to the desired one, please follow the below steps:

1.Launch the HP Document Viewer.

2.Click on Scan a new document (icon on the menu bar)

3.Select the scanner model and then click on Ok.

4.Please select the “Scan to” as save to file and the File type as .rtf or .pdf

5.Click on “Save to file save options”

6.You can see the option called “Save location”

7.Click on Browse and select the location where you want to save.

8.Click on Ok and try Scan the document/pictures to an desired location.

In order to change the default destination to the desired one, please follow the below steps:

1. Launch the Presto Page Manager 7 Deluxe.

2. Click on File and Click on Acquire Image Data (Acquire Image Data icon on the menu bar).

3. Once it gets scanned, right click on the scanned document/pictures.

4. Click on Save as.

5. Select the location and click on Save.
