HP Universal Printing PCL 5e and PS Drivers - Unable to Select the "Settings" Button in Color Options

Issue

With the HP Universal Printing PCL 5e or HP Universal Printing PS drivers (UPD version 5.x), when used for printing to a Color LaserJet you are unable to select manual settings within the "Printing Preferences / Printer Properties" dialog within the "Color" tab. After selecting the "Manual" radio button under "Color Options" the "Settings" button remains grayed out. See screenshot below.

Conversely, the HP Universal Printing PCL 6 driver permits you to manually adjust the color settings. It is necessary to remove the check mark from the "HP EasyColor" checkbox. See screenshot below. This particular option is not available within the UPD PCL 5e or UPD PS drivers, version 5.x.

Solution

Update to UPD version 4.7 or later to resolve this issue.
