Checking Ink Levels for HP Photosmart Wireless (B110) e-All-in-One Printers

Introduction

This document describes how to check the estimated ink levels in the cartridges.

NOTE: Ink level warnings and indicators provide estimates for planning purposes only. When an indicator shows low-ink levels, consider having a replacement cartridge available to avoid possible printing delays. You do not need to replace cartridges until print quality becomes unacceptable.

Checking ink levels

Use one of the following methods to check ink levels in the cartridges.

NOTE: If the product has a refilled or remanufactured cartridge, or a cartridge previously used in another printer, the ink level indicators display inaccurate or missing information.

Method one: Display estimated ink levels on the control panel

  1. Touch the ATM button () next to the Setup icon () in the lower-left corner of the control panel.

  2. Touch the right arrow button () to select Tools, and then touch OK.

  3. Touch the right arrow button () to select Display Estimated Ink Levels, and then touch OK.

    The control panel displays the estimated ink level of each cartridge.

Method two: Print a Printer Status Report

The Printer Status Report includes estimated ink levels.

  1. Load plain white paper in the input tray.

  2. Touch the ATM button () next to the Setup icon () in the lower-left corner of the control panel.

  3. Touch the right arrow button () to select Tools, and then touch OK.

  4. Touch the right arrow button () to select Printer Status Report, and then touch OK. The product prints the Printer Status Report.

Method three: Check estimated ink levels from HP Solution Center

  1. Open HP Solution Center:

    • Windows XP: Click Start, click All Programs, click HP, and then click HP Solution Center.

    • Windows Vista and Windows 7: Click the Windows icon (), click All Programs, click HP, and then click HP Solution Center.

    HP Solution Center opens in a new window.

  2. In HP Solution Center, click Settings, and then click Printer Toolbox. The Printer Toolbox displays.

    NOTE: You can also open the Printer Toolbox from the Print Properties dialog box. In the Print Properties dialog box, click the Features tab, and then click Printer Services.
  3. Click the Estimated Ink Level tab. The estimated ink levels display.
