HP Compaq 6000 Pro Desktop PC series - Websites Using Adobe Shockwave Flash Plugins Perform Slowly

HP Compaq 6000 Pro Series PCs can show slow performance when accessing websites using the Adobe Shockwave Flash plugin.

The OS Device Manager does not show any error conditions or resource conflicts.

To resolve this issue, the Idle Power Savings value in the system BIOS must be modified. To do this, press F10 while the computer is powering on to access the BIOS menu. In the BIOS menu, select Power and then OS Power Mgmt . In this menu change the Idle Power Savings from Extended to Normal . Save changes then restart the computer.

Making this change should greatly improve the performace of websites using the Adobe Shockwave Flash plugin.
