Replacement Printer Instructions for HP LaserJet Pro CP1525 Color Printer Series

When HP replaces your defective product, some accessories or parts need to be transferred from the defective product to the replacement product.

NOTE:
  • Some optional accessories might not be included with your product model.
  • Keep any optional accessories that you bought separately.

Instructions

Prior to replacing or disposing of your defective unit, follow these instructions to ensure the right accessories are removed from the defective unit and transferred to the replacement product:

  1. Power off the HP LaserJet printer and unplug the power cord. Wait for the printer to cool and keep the following accessories:

    a) Toner cartridges

    CAUTION: To prevent damage, do not expose the toner cartridges to light. Cover the toner cartridges, if necessary.
    • Open the front door.

    • Pull out the toner cartridge drawer.

    • To release each toner cartridge, grasp the handle on the toner cartridge and then pull the toner cartridge straight up to remove it.

      WARNING: - Do not touch the imaging drum on the bottom of the toner cartridge. Fingerprints on the imaging drum can cause print-quality issues.

      - Do not allow the imaging drum to contact any surface when the cartridge is set down. Protect the imaging drum at all times. Dust and debris can stick to the drum and cause print-quality issues.

    • Close the toner cartridge drawer.

    • Close the front door.

    c) USB (Universal Serial Bus) cable

    d) Ethernet cable

    e) Product manuals & CD

  2. Keep the accessories mentioned above to use with the replacement product.

  3. Power on the replacement product and test all product functions.
