DESCRIPTION

Users may have difficulty entering the following BIOS menus on an HP Z210 Workstation.

  • Startup Menu (ESC)
  • Diagnostics (F2)
  • Boot Menu (F9)
  • Computer Setup (F10)
  • System Recovery (F11)
  • Network Boot (F12)

SCOPE

Information in this document applies to the listed systems configured as follows:

Systems:

  • HP Z210 Convertible Minitower Workstation
  • HP Z210 Small Form Factor Workstation

Operating Systems:

  • Non-OS Specific

RESOLUTION

To work around the issue, set POST Delay to 5 seconds in Computer Setup as follows:

NOTE
Use the Arrow keys to select various menus, menu items, and to change values (unless otherwise specified).
  1. Start or restart the computer.
  2. Press and hold the F10 key.
  3. Select Advanced > Power-On Options > Post Delay (in seconds) > 5 Seconds.
  4. Press the F10 key to accept the change.
  5. Select File > Save Changes and Exit.
  6. Press the Enter key.
  7. Press F10 to save the changes and exit the Computer Setup utility.
