HP Dynamic Smart Array B120i/B320i Controller - ORCA Is Not Supported Instead ACU Is Used to Configure

HP Dynamic Smart Array B120i/B320i Controllers do not have ORCA. They can only be configured via Array Configuration Utility (ACU).

Details

HP Dynamic Smart Array B120i/B320i Controllers do not have ORCA. Use Array Configuration Utility from IP to configure them.

Configuration :

  1. Enable the HP Dynamic Smart Array B120i/B320i Controller from RBSU.

    • Select System Options , Embedded SATA Configuration , Enable Dynamic HP Smart Array B120i RAID Support .

    • Select System Options , HP Smart Array B320i RAID configuration .

    • Follow the onscreen prompts to enable.

    NOTE: For the HP ProLiant DL160 Gen8 Server, the HP Dynamic Smart Array B120i RAID controller must be enabled manually in RBSU.

    For HP ProLiant SL230, SL250, and SL270 Gen8 Servers, the HP Dynamic Smart Array B320i RAID controller must be enabled manually in RBSU.

    For all other supported servers, the controller (either the B120i or the B320i) is enabled automatically or by default.

  2. Change the Boot Controller Order from RBSU.

  3. Launch ACU which is now available as an embedded utility, starting with HP ProLiant Gen8 servers.

    To access ACU, use one of the following methods:

    • Press F10 during boot.

    • When the system recognizes the controller during POST, press F5 .
