DESCRIPTION

Wireless USB 2.0 devices (mouse, keyboard, etc.) may exhibit issues such as:

  • lag
  • skips
  • reduced detection distance

The issue occurs when the USB 2.0 transceiver is located in close proximity to a USB 3.0 port, cable, or device. The issue is due to radio interference with the USB 2.0 device by the USB 3.0 port, cable, or device.

RESOLUTION

The radio interference issue may be mitigated by moving USB 2.0 trancievers to ports as far from USB 3.0 ports, cables, and devices as possible. The exact amount of separation required will vary with differnt USB 3.0 devices.
