Scan without HP Software

Although you cannot scan from the printer control panel without a Full Feature driver, you can still scan without the Full Feature HP software installed on your computer by using a basic set of scanning drivers as an alternative. NOTE: If you installed with AirPrint, when you try to scan for the first time a 'Software for this device is not installed' message might display. The scanning software available from Apple is required to scan using an AirPrint printer queue.
