Issue

The Disk Enclosure M6612 Status LED lit as Amber, but there is no FAULT status on Disk, Power Supply, FAN, ELMO modules.

Solution

  1. Check P6500 configuration:

    P6500(10000000) There is one -operational state = attention- on Disk ENC#16
    midplane
    firmware = 0021 hardwarerevision = B0
    ......
    objectname = \Hardware\Disk Enclosure 16
    ......
    objecttype = diskshelf
    objectwwn = operationalstate = attention operationalstatedetail = initialized_attention

  2. Analyzed Controller Event Log CEL:

    2012-Jan-02 04:10:45 06660006; A controller has detected a change in the Enclosure midplane condition.
    Reason: Enclosure Vendor Identification: HP ; Enclosure Product Identification: D2600 SAS AJ832A; Enclosure Product Revision: 0131; Enclosure Saleable
    Serial Number: CN800803BX ; Updated Condition: NONCRITICAL; Enclosure WWID (node): 5001438006cb7f3c; Loop B ELMo WWID (port): 5001438006cb7f3d; Enclosure: 16;

    ELMO log entries :
    2012-Jan-02 04:09:24
    Entity : Midplane logic (0x12)
    Event : SES Status (0x01),
    Meaning : Element Index = 1; Status = Noncritical (3); Byte 1 = 0; Byte 2 = 0; Byte 3 = 0;
    Status Changes : Status[ (1) --> Noncritical (3)];
